Graduates from Pitt Seniors and alumni from all Pitt campuses can apply for funding towards your next Pitt degree! Pitt2Pitt Funding helps University of Pittsburgh graduates complete a Pitt master’s degree or certificate program. Alumni also have many offers to advance their studies and their expertise. To qualify for Pitt2Pitt funding, you must be a University of Pittsburgh senior or alumni as described in the program-specific requirements, apply, and be accepted into the participating school.

The programs involved in the Pitt2Pitt Funding Opportunity are designed to help you accelerate your professional success and become a dynamic leader in your field. The University of Pittsburgh prides itself on providing financial backing and the highest possible return on your investment.

Pitt2Pitt Funding currently supports schools and certifications in data science, management, public health, engineering, health sciences, education and many other fields. Applications for the fall semester 2022 are now being accepted. Most schools that offer Pitt2Pitt funding have waived the application fee for University of Pittsburgh seniors and alumni.

Space in programs and the availability of Pitt2Pitt funding in some schools may be limited and we encourage you to apply as early as possible. If you have any questions about the application process, please contact the staff listed as the program contact.

How do I apply for a Pitt2Pitt grant?

There is no central Pitt2Pitt funding application for all programs. The following tables, arranged according to the participating schools, give an overview of the offers of the individual schools. Please visit the school’s website using the links below for complete information including admission requirements, application process, alumni eligibility and program format details.

Can I apply to more than one Pitt2Pitt program?

Yes, you can apply to more than one program. If you are unsure which program is best for you and would like to learn more about the options, please email graduate@pitt.edu.

How can I take part in the lesson?

Programs are available online, in-person, in hybrid, full-time, and flexible part-time formats, as well as some dual/joint options depending on the program or certificate. Please see the options below.

Is there a registration fee?

Most schools offering Pitt2Pitt Funding have waived the application fee. Please refer to the table below for details.

How much funding can I expect from Pitt2Pitt?

The Pitt2Pitt scholarship is a one-time funding opportunity. The funding is paid out over the fall and spring semester as follows:

Full-time students:

Part-time students (must be enrolled for at least 4.5 credits):

Pitt2Pitt provides non-refundable tuition funds. Therefore, if additional Pitt Funds are awarded to the recipient and the cumulative funds would result in a refund, the Pitt2Pitt Funding will be reduced or canceled to ensure that there is no refund of this support.

I’m a Pitt employee; do I qualify for the Pitt2Pitt grant?

Pitt employees who are recent Pitt graduates or alumni who use their Pitt educational benefits to enroll graduates are not eligible to receive Pitt2Pitt funding.
